23 months
Cassandra should have been 23 months old yesterday. Would she have been walking by now? What would her hair look like now? Dark brown? A little wavy? Would she be eating yet? Would she still be sleeping between Daria and I? In her crib? In her own room? Would she be talking? How nice would it sound to hear her say "Mommy" or "Daddy"?

My heart breaks for you, I cannot even begin to imagine your sorrow. Cassandra is adorable, thanks for sharing your story.
23 months... How wonderful would that have been. It is so heartbreaking that we never got to hear her say Momma or Dada. I know she wanted to and I am sure she would have eventually but well... it wasn't meant to be.
I am completely consumed by her second birthday coming up in August. I just don't know what we should do to "celebrate" it. Celebrate is the wrong word.. memorialize it I guess. It is all just too much to bear.
